The committee will have at least nine members, preferably of tenure rank, one of whom will be selected by the Committee on Committees to serve as Chair, another as Vice Chair. One committee member shall be appointed from the social sciences departments and programs of the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences; one member from the arts departments of that college; and one member from the humanities departments and programs of that college. One committee member shall be appointed from the natural sciences departments and programs of the College of Natural and Agricultural Sciences; one member from the biological sciences departments and programs of that college; and one member from the physical sciences departments and programs of that college. One committee member shall be appointed from the Bourns College of Engineering, one from the Anderson Graduate School of Management and one from the Graduate School of Education. Additional members from other units may be appointed as appropriate. The Chair normally also serves on the University Committee on Planning and Budget. The committee shall provide advice to the Chancellor and represent the Division on matters concerning the distribution of resources on campus. It shall also be the duty of the committee to consider, provide advice and report on such matters of academic planning and resource allocations which may be referred to it by the University Committee on Planning and Budget, the Academic Council, the Chancellor, the vice Chancellors, the Deans, the Division, or by any committee of the Division.
